Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (born 9 December 1973) is a Pakistani singer specializing in Qawwali, a genre deeply rooted in the spiritual music of Sufi Muslims. He is the nephew of the renowned Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, son of Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, and grandson of the legendary Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. Apart from Qawwali performances, Rahat excels in singing ghazals and various forms of light music, gaining popularity as a playback singer in Bollywood and Lollywood productions.
